Fairgame Canary Wharf is the world’s first immersive fairground for adults, featuring a host of classic games reinvented for the 21st century in a 20,000 sq ft space in Canary Wharf, London.
The building was originally three public houses which we knocked through to create one big unit. The construction works included everything from floor screeding to the installation of partitioning, mechanical and electrical works, decoration, joinery, installation of staircases, kitchens, bar and a fire safety system. The concept leverages the rich visual material of a fairground and brings fairground favourites such as whack-a-mole, roll-a-ball derby, duck shoot and water gun clown with recognisable fairground elements such as waltzer booths and hanging ferris wheel pods. Every game is hooked up to RFID wristband tech, so that players can log scores, track leader boards and battle it out for Fairgame’s giant pink teddies. The venue is a fairly dark space, which is enhanced by pops of colour together with spectacular lighting designed by our lighting specialist.
